Crabapple LandscapExperts is seeking a Key Account Manager to develop relationships with important customers to manage and develop new business within these accounts. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Uncover customer’s points of pain and develop solutions
  • Effectively build and maintain trust-based professional relationships
  • Work at a fast pace and operate with a high sense of urgency
  • Work well with all team members, leveraging their expertise with yours
  • Work with the operations team to ensure high standard of quality
  • Gather and analyze customer needs and interests
  • Build strong business relationships and provide solutions to challenges
  • Deliver timely and accurate reports on a regular basis


  • Proven talent for cultivating relationships with good organizational habits
  • CRM software experience 
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Microsoft office a must 
  • Strong oral and written skills
  • College degree preferred (Horticulture, Arboriculture, Landscaping, Marketing, Business Management, Landscape Design, etc.), but will consider proven experience in lieu of degree
  • Valid Georgia driver's license and good driving record
  • Sales experience is a plus

Job Responsibilities

1) Ensure quality of work performed on job site meets quality standards of both the company and the client 

  • Conduct weekly inspections of job site 
  • Hold direct reports accountable for sub-par work 
  • Address performance issues proactively with direct reports 
  • Generate and follow through on punch list items with foreman 
  • Develop solutions for quality issues in the field 

2) Manage productivity of team to ensure that gross profit goals are met 

  • Observe crew inefficiencies and identify areas for improvement 
  • Train field personnel on best practices for landscape maintenance 
  • Track budgeted vs actual hours and proactively identify problem jobs/crews 
  • Develop solutions for problem jobs/crews 

3) Build and maintain Crabapple Culture through all levels of field personnel 

  • Provide POSITIVE leadership that each employee can emulate 
  • Promote problem solving mentality among employees 
  • Create pride and excitement in the work environment 
  • Enforce safety policies among employees 

4) Communicate proactively with other team members and director of operations 

  • Communicate daily with team members on hot button issues 
  • Schedule and attend weekly ' huddle" meetings with team counterpart 
  • Follow up on any/all punch list items If you have these skills and you are drive by a great work ethic and responsibility, we want to hear from you

Job Requirement: education, training, experience:

  •  A minimum of three (3) years of operations management experience
  •  Completion of a four-year degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of   education and experience in the green industry 
  • Outstanding organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks. - Experience in managing up to 5 direct reports
  • Outstanding written and verbal communications. 
  • Proficient with the use of business technology and software applications 
  • Self-motivated individual who sets his/her own personal and professional goals
  • Detail oriented to capture, organize, and follow-through on information in a fast-paced environment
  • Team oriented to be a unifying force
  • High level of accountability for results in order to ensure deliverables are met
  • Communicate recruiting and training needs accordantly 
  • Ability to be bilingual in English 
  • Spanish is a huge plus
